The Intelligence community has uncovered a shipment of arms to the Chicago area for supplying the area enclaves with more weapons, including many more RPGs and machine guns.  Sources also indicate that there is a high probability that the shipment is supposed to include some SA-24 Grinch Igla-S man portable air defense systems surface to air missiles which disappeared years ago when Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi was ousted out of Libya. 

The shipment is said to be delivered via a barge at the Port of Chicago Iroquois Landing Lakefront Terminal at the mouth of the Calumet River and Lake Michigan.  A USMC MARSOC Marine Special Operations Team (MSOT) has been given the job to destroy the shipment.  Their assault will be via the river.  If they can destroy the barge and its deadly contents before being unloaded the better, as the job will be much harder to accomplish once unloaded onto trucks.

Night

This game takes place at night and the US player is using night vision. Night vision does not apply while inside the target building.



US Mission

The MSOT Team will begin their assault via rubber assault craft. The assault takes place after dark and the Marines are using Night Vision equipment.  You must assault the barge and ascertain if the weapons have been unloaded or not.  If not unloaded, plant explosives on barge and extricate the area and blow the barge.  If the weapons have begun to be unloaded, you must stop the trucks from leaving the docks and blow the barge and trucks before any can get away.

  • Blow the barge with all weapons: 10 pts
  • Blow a loaded truck: 5 pts
  • Secure or destroy the SA-24 missiles: 8 pts
  • Exit the board by Turn 6: 5 pts
  • Each insurgent killed: 1 pt

 Assault teams carry C4 explosives for blowing the barge and any trucks.


Insurgent Mission

A shipment of badly needed weapons has arrived at the Port of Chicago.  This shipment is VERY important as it contains not only additional Al-47s and plenty of ammunition, but it includes heavy weapons such as RPG’s and 2 SA-24 Igla-S Surface to Air missiles to be used to bring down aircraft at the busy O’Hare airport.  You must unload the barge and get the weapons loaded onto several trucks for delivery to the various Chicago area enclaves.  Death to the Infidels!

 There are 5 trucks for loading the weapons onto, each truck must make safe passage from the Port of Chicago.  The SA-24 missiles must be loaded into the van to be delivered to the Albany Park imam.

  • Each truck safely loaded and departure off the board (red zone): 8 pts
  • Van with SA-24 missiles departs off the board (red zone): 10 pts
  • Each Enemy Killed: 1 pt

Insurgent  Force Rules:

There is a total of 10 crates of ammunition and weapons.  Two extra crates contain the SA-24 Missiles.  It takes two insurgents to move a single crate.  While moving crates insurgents cannot fire weapons.
